About Us

Carl Groner, Founding Principal

Carl Groner is Founder of Palisades Property Trust, a real estate investment management and advisory firm. His 20 years of industry experience includes leading over $2 billion of real estate investments on behalf of institutional equity partners including Apollo, Lend Lease, Oaktree, and Transwestern. Carl earned his bachelor's degree from UC Berkeley, where he was a California Leadership Scholar. He completed graduate studies in finance at MIT and his master’s degree at USC, where he was a Dean's Merit Scholar. His professional affiliations include the CFA Institute as a CFA charterholder.

Trevor Sterry, Portfolio Manager

Head of asset management and operations. Responsible for operations, leasing, and capital markets. Mr. Sterry has over 15 years of principal experience in CRE across a variety of asset types and geographies in acquisition and asset management roles. He started his career at Cornerstone Real Estate Advisers ( Now Barings) and has had senior roles as a principal or consultant for other institutional owners, lenders, and HNW/Family Offices. He was a member of senior management team in the successful turnaround of (MMPI/EVOQ) a portfolio that included 7M square feet in greater Los Angeles. That entity was sold to Atlas Capital resulting in a 5x return to investors/partners. Mr. Sterry has an MBA in real estate/finance from UCLA Anderson School of Management and an BS in Mechanical Engineering from the United States Naval Academy. Prior to a career in real estate Mr. Sterry was a Naval Officer and has flight hours in the F-14 A/B/D in operational and test roles.
